Ashraf Zaghloul is the Founder and Principal Engineer of AERZ Civil Structural Consulting Inc., a Calgary-based engineering consulting firm providing structural engineering, forensic investigations, structural assessments, building science support, permit design, and engineering consulting services throughout Alberta.
With more than 20 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, Ashraf has worked on projects ranging from residential renovations and additions to industrial, energy, mining, and process facilities. His experience includes the structural design and assessment of reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, and wood structures, foundation systems, equipment supports, temporary works, and specialty structural systems.
Ashraf graduated from Alexandria University in 1998 and later completed Civil Engineering studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. Following graduation, he began his engineering career in Calgary, developing expertise in structural analysis, finite element modeling, structural steel design, and foundation engineering.
Throughout his career, Ashraf has held engineering roles with respected organizations including Tarpon Energy (now Warwick Structures), AMEC, CH2M Hill, TOYO Engineering Canada, and Jacobs Engineering. These experiences provided exposure to multidisciplinary project delivery, industrial facilities, mining operations, energy infrastructure, and complex steel and concrete structures.
In 2016, Ashraf founded AERZ Civil Structural Consulting Inc. with the goal of providing practical, client-focused engineering services that combine technical excellence with personalized service.
